Enjoyed an Excellent Sunday Brunch in the conservatory style Coppin's dining room in Hotel Covington. The Porkopolis omelette with goetta, smoked ham and gruyere was so much more than a ham and cheese omelette! The accompanying breakfast potatoes were prepared perfectly seasoned and crispy and served hot. My friend loved his Brunch Burger with an over easy egg topping. It looked fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and timely. Will be back!
Visited on Sunday for brunch with friends. Meal was great and Steve our server was awesome! Never had to wait for refills. The restaurant was busy with good vibes and lots of laughter.
Coppin's is what I would consider a hidden gem with a lot of potential! Let's start with the decor: solid wood tables with "live edge" and black Pilars to blend into the scenery, beautifully chosen chandeliers with crystals across the room, large and inviting welcome area with bar and bar seating, sitting area near floor to ceiling windows nearby and a cozy coffee bar near hostess stand Valet: there was an option for valet at $12 however no one ever came to take my keys or ensure the vehicle was safe. Did not use valet and was extremely disappointed Parking garage: near Hotel Covington's Coppins - it was an experience and do not recommend Validated parking: servers have cards How to exit parking garage: need to pay before you enter the vehicle if you do not have validated parking Server: she was the best. I cannot believe we don't have a rating service for servers yet - the only reason Coppins is getting a 4 is because of this server. Ma'am - you're amazing. You turned an ordinary experience into something meaningful and simply put, magical. You're so appreciated Drinks: bourbon lovers rejoice - full bourbon bar Food: we tried brunch. We tried everything on the menu Must have: beef fat potatoes, banana bread, and mimosa bucket Must pass: hash bowl, bagel and lock Overall food: was not my favorite food Mocktails: decent! Work in progress for Dry January and we'll come back in a few weeks to try again Staff: friendly enough Dress: dress code is unspoken. My advice? Walked in on a Saturday. Sat at the bar without a wait. The salmon was phenomenal!! And the old fashioned is one of the best around
Excellent dinner! Thank you Emily and team. Everyone was so nice, efficient. Food is fantastic. My server Emily was fun and so spot on with food recs: duck, Brussel sprouts, and pumpkin crème brûlée. Setting is cozy. Love this restaurant and the hotel. Very special!
As usual, our meals were delicious. Three friends tried the new fall menu, starting with Liquid Knowledge (like a Four Roses mule), a Manhattan and a Pinot noir served with corn madeleines. We were pleased to learn they do half portion salads, including the wedge, which my friend had with a scallop dish she described as among the best she'd ever had. I had the butternut squash bisque followed by celery root agnolotti that reheated for a treat lunch today. Our third friend had the burger that always pleases. While it was chilly in the garden room, the pleasant and professional services warmed us up, especially as we lingered over a long conversation. We'll all be back and promise to get pictures next time!
A friend recommended Coppin's since we were going to be in the area. Wow! I could t have been more impressed. The atmosphere is nice, the service was great, and the food was fantastic. I mean, look at that omelette. The most perfectly cooked French style omelette I've had in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. My Manhattan (don't judge me) was great also.
Excellent steak and fries! I was at first upset with the price but it was a really good steak so i soon forgot about that. Service was good. Beers were tasty. All around good experience. Very nice seating area with great light from all the windows.
Finally tried Coppins for brunch and they did not disappoint! First off, the restaurant sits inside of hotel Covington which is absolutely beautiful! There are not enough words to describe how gorgeous the space is. We made reservations and were seated right away. There were 6 of us and we tried a plethora of things. Not pictured, but others love love loved the tots, pancakes, grits, and orange cake that is listed as an appetizer but definitely could be a dessert. I had the espresso martini and the breakfast sandwich and thought both were superb! I didn't catch the servers name but he was also great and had very high energy! The atmosphere is great for families, date night or even a solo date. We most certainly will be back!
